Hard wood cremation urns are made of woods such as Walnut, Oak, Cherry and Mahogany or a selection of 2 or 3 woods. These and more are "classified as "hardwoods" due to their toughness.

Hardwood products are more expensive than softwoods, the material is not as readily available. Hard wood urns are all hand made and assembled, then finished to a beautiful lustre.
